Services Provided: Book Proposal Development

Challenges: The chief makeup artist for one of television’s most popular reality shows, “Dancing with the Stars” was interested in writing a book about her unique approach to heightening the glamour of the show’s performers. The problem was, she did not know how to begin developing a book, much less a book proposal.

Solutions: We offered to develop her book proposal, and she agreed. We first organized the components of her book proposal, and we then prepared its content and “look” for optimal impact. Within two weeks of completing her book proposal, she was approached by a literary agency and signed their contract.


City of Los Angeles

Services Provided: Grant Writing, Research & Analysis

Challenges: The city of Los Angeles, along with its nonprofit collaborators, planned to conserve an outdoor mural painted in 1932 by the famous Mexican artist, David Alfaro Siqueiros. The large scale mural titled “La Amèrica Tropical” was noteworthy for its strikingly beautiful, but radical, depiction of U.S.-Mexico relations. The problem was, no comprehensive proposal had been prepared to secure funding for its conservation and future role in educating the public.

Solutions: We were contracted to research and write a proposal featuring the history and significance of the mural and artist. For the first time, a proposal had been prepared that would support an ongoing effort to seek more than $2.5 million in grant money to restore the legacy of this great art work. This effort is moving forward today.


Manufacturing Company

Services Provided: Public/Media Relations, Marketing Communications

Challenges: One of the world’s largest manufacturers of pressure tanks and related components for military and commercial satellites hadn’t found a buyer. The problem was, only industry insiders understood how good the company was.

Solutions: Our team implemented a PR marketing campaign that branded the company in a way that attracted wide industry and media interest. Our story of its quality products and services gained visibility among potential buyers. Within less than a year, the company was sold.
